When I contacted USAA regarding a 'stated-value' policy they told me they don't issue those but do suggest a separate company to do 'classic' cars. They passed me off to an agent at that company. When I talked with them they said they could do a 'stated-value' but there were serious restrictions. Basically the car would be covered at my home, in transit to a show, and at the show. I asked about a weekend drive and they stated that while my liability coverage would still be active, any claim made on the vehicle would be denied since a joyride would be outside the intended purpose of the vehicle. Yours may be different but it would be a really good idea to read the documentation in detail so you know if you'll be covered or not. It seems that a few people have 'state-value' insurance on their vehicles but I've yet to hear a story regarding claims under this insurance.
